Test timing
Start testing 17 days prior to the expected date of your next period.
・For those who have an irregular period (menstrual) cycle, use the shortest of the latest 2 or 3 cycles to determine the expected date of your next period.
How to test
Perform the test once per day at approximately the same time each day. (If your LH surge can not be properly detected in the previous test or it is difficult to interpret whether the results are positive or negative, testing twice per day is more likely to detect your LH surge.)
Perform the test according to the following procedure.
Open the aluminum pack immediately before testing.
① Remove the test stick from the foil wrapper and take off the cap, and hold the Absorbent Tip pointing downwards in your urine stream for 5 seconds only. Alternatively, collect a sample of your urine in a clean, dry container and
hold just the Absorbent Tip in the urine for 20 seconds only.
※Do not get the Judgement Window wet by urine.
※Dip only the absorbent tip into the urine.
※Do not hold the Absorbent Tip in your urine stream more than 5 seconds or dip in the urine more than 20 seconds.
② Replace the cap pointing the absorbent tip downwards.
③ Lay the test stick flat and you should read the result after 3 minutes.
How to interpret
※Make sure the Control Line (the line far from arrow) is present in the Judgement Window.
※The test result is obtained by comparing the strength of color of the Test Line (the line near to arrow) with the Control Line.
※Read your result within 10 minutes of doing a test.
※The first positive result indicates that your LH surge is detected, which is a sign that ovulation will occur soon.
●Negative (No LH Surge)
If there is no Test Line, or it is paler than the Control Line, you have not detected your LH surge. Test again tomorrow at the same time.
●Positive (Yes LH Surge)
If the Test Line is similar to, or darker than, the Control Line, you have detected your LH surge and have reached your most fertile time. Make love at any time during the next 48 hours to maximize your chances of becoming pregnant. There is no need to continue testing during this cycle.
※The actual line may differ from the example.
※If there is no Control Line in the Judgement Window, this may be caused by little urine. Test again using a new test stick.
Precautions for use
●Precautions for urine sample
・Do not use very cloudy urine or urine containing foreign matter like blood urine.
・Avoid urinating for approximately 4 hours before testing.
・Do not drink too much liquid before testing.
・Avoid doing exercise to sweat heavily before testing.
●Precautions for testing procedure
・Perform the test immediately after collection of your urine. Leaving the collected urine for a long time may affect the test result.
・Perform the test in the proper procedure described on the leaflet.
●Precautions for interpret
①When you get the positive result on the first day of test:
You may have already ovulated. If you wish to become pregnant, you will have a better chance to become pregnant by making love as soon as possible. Continue the test until you have the Negative result. (If you cannot have the Negative result, see ③)
②If the negative results continue to appear during the test period:
Consult a physician or pharmacist as soon as possible.
Normally, if you use this kit during the ovulation phase, the test result will be positive. However, in rare cases, you may not have the positive result due to endocrine factors such as an irregular period(menstrual) and short LH surge (12 hours or less).
③If the positive results continue to appear during the test period:
Consult a physician as soon as possible.
Women under the following conditions may continue the Positive results, regardless of ovulation; pregnancy, post partum post-miscarriage, chorionic diseases such as hydatidiform mole and choriocarcinoma, post-induced abortion, drug therapy for fertility treatment, endocrine disorders, or menopause.
④If you do not become pregnant after trying 6 cycles or more although you have the Positive result and make love at an appropriate time:
The cause of difficult-to-pregnancy is not only problems related to ovulation. Consult a physician together with your partner, if possible. However, women who are in their late 30s or more, who cannot become pregnant for a long time after marriage and who wish to become pregnant early should consult a physician as soon as possible. -
